Greeting from Orange County, California, home to some of the best attractions in the world! As a HUGE Disneyland fanatic, the beans have spent many hours in the Southern California paradise that is Anaheim. Today, they head down the road from the Magic Kingdom to see their friends, the Anaheim Angels. This is Edison Field, which used to sport a big "A", but now hangs out with a couple of oversized batting helmets instead. |
| Like an amazing amount of stuff, the Anaheim Angels are owned by The Walt Disney Company. But don't look for Mickey and Donald between innings - the Angel's mascots are Clutch and Scoop, a couple of bears. Before Uncle Eisner got his mitts on the Angels, they were owned by the original singing cowboy, Gene Autry. When Gene went to the big dude ranch in the sky, Disney took over, changed the name from "California Angels" to "Anaheim Angels", fixed up the ballpark, and started selling souvenir paving bricks for $75 each. | ![]() |

Here, the beans are enjoying the third base line during the seventh inning stretch. "Buy me some peanuts and can of black beans..." Hey - that might just work!!!
On second thought, it might inflict some serious damage if the vendors tried to fling you a can of beans... But it was a dandy idea, now wasn't it? |
