Greetings, 50's TV serial Western addicts, and welcome again to Forest Lawn. In this afternoon's installment, the beans stop off to visit the Earthly remains of none other than Clayton Moore, AKA the man behind the mask of The Lone Ranger. Clayton started playing the masked man way back in 1949, where he was The Lone Ranger on TV on and off again for the remainder of it's 1950's heyday, including starring roles in two L.R. movies, 1956's "The Lone Ranger" and 1958's "The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold". (No, not Vegas.)

So anyway, in 1978 the powers that be in Hollywood decided to make a new Lone Ranger movie, but sadly without Clayton. The studio pinheads even went as far as to ban him from wearing his trademark mask or anything close to it at public appearances. Lawsuits were filed, Moore's fans rallied, the eventual movie laid a great big box office egg, and eventually all animosity was settled. Clayton Moore went back to being The Lone Ranger, and finally rode off into the heavenly sunset in 1999. The beans salute Clayton Moore for being an upstanding guy, and for keeping his nose clean for all of the young buckaroos who looked up to him. He was a genuine hero to millions, both behind and in front of the famous black mask.

The beans would like to some day be a masked hero, but they're afraid of silver bullets, so they'd like to instead go armed with a Taser and some silver spray paint. Will that work?
