They may be turtle slow sometimes, but the beans are ahead of you in thanking Gordon & Kathy Smith and Jeff & Linda Enger for showing them around Grand Cayman!
| Greetings, turtle tots and tortise travelers, and welcome to the stunningly beautiful Grand Cayman Islands! Today the beans drop by to check out the Cayman Turtle Farm, which is home to over 16,000 green sea turtles, ranging in size from six ounces to six hundred pounds each. The turtle farm is Grand Cayman's most popular tourist attraction, receiving more than 340,000 mainly-cruise-ship tourists each year. Now, before you get any wrong ideas about these slow-but-beautiful creatures fate, the beans are glad to let you know that this "farm" is all about conservation. In other words, please don't come here looking for Turtle & Black Bean Soup on the snack bar menu. The beans are mighty glad of this fact, because not only do they like seeing the turtles in the water and not the stock pot, they also know that beans are best when ala carte. |
