An entire forest of gratitude goes out to BATW Ambassador Stephanie for taking the beans to the Redwoods!
| Good morning, tree huggers and lumberjacks, and welcome to beautiful Leggett, California! Today the beans have driven into the Drive Thru Tree Park, where you too can drop $3 for the honor of actually navigating the ol' station wagon clean through a Giant California Redwood. Cool, huh? The Leggett Chandelier Tree is said to be 315 feet tall, and has been letting autos pass through it's nether regions for around 60 years now. If you remember the Chevy Chase classic "National Lampoon's Vacation", you'll recall that the Griswold family stopped here for a snapshot on their way to Wally World. That alone is enough to qualify this site as a shrine, isn't it? So the beans had a great time passing through the Giant Redwood, and hope all of you can do this one day, too. Only don't do like the beans, and try to place a fast food order with the squirrels when driving through. They didn't think it was very funny, either... |
