Hey -- these are the bean's family originals, summer 2001. So now you know.

Rock Creek, MT

So - who's ready for lunch? Bring your appetite, check your gag-reflex at the door, and join the beans here in Clinton for an annual food festival that's definitely not for the squeamish.

Each September at the "Testy Festy" at the Rock Creek Lodge, located just outside of Missoula, they cook up a mess of "Rocky Mountain Oysters", beer-battered and deep fried for your dining enjoyment. For $10, you too can try something you'll never find on the menu at your local Burger King.

Now, the beans would normally try just about anything once, but in this case they'll have to follow Nancy Reagan's advice and politely "Just Say No." However, for those of you out there who are daring enough to try these, don't let us stand in your way. Just whatever you do, don't try to convince us that they taste just like chicken...

Drummond, MT

Now, just about every down has its own shady used car lot... but here in Montana, where everything is done in the spirit of the Old West, you'll find things are done slightly different. Yes, this is an actual Used Cow Lot, where you may not find one for sale with bucket seats, but it'll definitely have a horn. Har, Har - old joke, new millennium!
For those of you who drive all the way to Montana in the hopes of spotting a Grizzly or two but never seem to be in the right place at the right time, today is your luck day - sort of. Here's a talented bear who can balance our can of beans on his nose. But no worries - he won't rip your arm off for trying, because Yogi here is all wood, no fangs.

The beans were glad that they had a chance to hang out with Smokey's cousin, even if he was "carved" instead of "caved", and are thankful that cedar smells a whole lot better than wet, ticked-off bear...
