Beans Around The World

The beans assume a crash position to thank BATW Ambassador Bob Goodrich for these down-to-Earth photos!

Hello, nervous flyers and all those who despise airline food, and welcome today to Easton, California, where a pilot obviously decided to "drop in" for some snacks! This is the Quick Stop MiniMart, which is just off Hwy 41 and about 13 miles south of Fresno, where you too can stop in for a six-pack of cold ones, a package of Slim-Jims, and a... oh, yeah - a WW2 era airplane.

While the beans swear that they'll never get in a plane with that pilot, they do have to salute their ingenuity at making lemonade out of lemons (or a tourist attraction out of an old Army surplus bomber, whichever the case may be...)

So if you're anything like our overly-curious canned vegetables, you're probably wondering how exactly this airplane got up there, anyway? Well, since we'd hate to spoil the secret, we'll just leave it as that they had really, really good aim.

The beans thought it would be cool to balance an oversized piece of military history on their lid for all the world to see, but when they tried placing a Panzer up there, all it did was block their view and their ability to catch the morning sun rays, so they gave up and went back to their usual canned ways. It's much lighter that way, plus it makes getting through tunnels a whole lot easier.
