Good morning vacationers who can sleep with one eye open, and welcome to Estes Park, Colorado! Today the beans have the great joy in checking into the Stanley Hotel, which served as the inspiration for the "Overlook Hotel" in Stephen King's classic novel, "The Shining". The 1997 TV mini-series used the Stanley Hotel as a filming location, but for the original 1980 flick, filming took place at another one of the bean's favorite inns, the Timberline Lodge in Oregon.

Now, for those of you (like the wimpy beans) who prefer to have a sideache brought on my excessive laughing instead of having a knife sticking out of you, you'll be thrilled to know that the Jim Carrey/Jeff Daniels classic ode to all things gross "Dumb and Dumber" was also filmed here.

Anyway, as the beans learned in The Shining, all work and no play makes Jack a very, very, dull boy. And so to keep anyone from getting any wise ideas about picking up an axe to chase us through the halls with, the frijoles wisely stayed outside, where at least they're reasonably certain they can hide in the nearest convenient hedge maze.
