Bonjour, mountain climbers and mountain goats alike, and welcome to the picturesque town of Grenoble! As you can tell from this stellar view, Grenoble is smack dab in the middle of the Alpine mountain range, and is considered to be the capital of the French Alps. Grenoble is also considered to be the "Silicon Valley" of France, what with all it's high-tech nerds...oops, I mean "skilled IT professionals". Grenoble University is based here, and hosts over 50,000 students, so you just know what Friday afternoons after class lets out must be like, right? Temps de partie!

The beans had a swell time hanging out with the college crowd in Grenoble, and are pleased to tell you that those kids party just as heartily as their counterparts back in the States. How the beans ended up back at their hotel wearing nothing but a beret afterwards, I'll never know...or tell.

Okay, that's not exactly how the song goes, but you get the point, right?

The beans were actually quite tempted into trying their can at climbing over the French Alps so that they could see what's on the other side, but then someone tipped them off what's over there (Italy or Switzerland, depending on your path), and they decided to skip it. Although the thought was indeed tempting, they unfortunately didn't have their passport with them, and besides - they didn't want to have to walk home after dark.
