Thanks to BATW co-founder Gary Franke and his cousin Jeff for delving deep into database-land!

Hey, friends and computer fiends everywhere - today we're deep in the land of high tech, where the beans decided to stop by and say "00100110" to the nice people at Oracle. Now, what is Oracle, you may ask? Good question for most home PC users. But for those who are paid (and usually a lot!) to work with databases, servers, and other wonderfully enhanced systems, Oracle is a legend in the high-tech computing sector.

Oracle Corporation is the world's leading supplier of software for information management, and the world's second largest independent software company (just behind that little Redmond-based company ran by some guy named "Gates"...). Oracle offers its database, tools and application products, along with related consulting, education, and support services, in more than 145 countries around the world. And with annual revenues of more than $10.9 billion, you can see what a cool-looking office park they built with their dough. The beans dug it...

Oracle software runs on PCs, workstations, minicomputers, mainframes and massively parallel computers, as well as on personal digital assistants and set-top devices. Bummer for those of you out there still using your "Trash-80's"... and you know who you are... Founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison, Oracle has 43,000 happily employed techo-freaks worldwide, and millions of happy IT nerds who live and love their software.

And speaking of computer nerds... oh, wait - sorry. That was uncalled for, now wasn't it??? Here's BATW co-founder and Oracle Wiz Gary Franke... the wonderful man who took the beans to meet the Oracle, and didn't have to swallow any mysterious pills from a guy named Morpheus to get there. Whoa. Thanks, Gary!
