Hello meus amigos, e boa vinda a Brasil! (For those of you who don't speak a word of Portuguese, the beans said hi...) Welcome to São Paulo, the largest city in South America, and the third largest in the world! 17 million Paulistanos (inhabitants of São Paulo) live and play in a city that is said to make New York City look tiny. And while São Paulo may not have Broadway or the Yankees, it is still considered the cultural center of Brazil, and of course they've got a passion for soccer that is practically unrivaled.

So, while technically not in any sort of trouble (yet), the beans did stop by to pay their proper respects to the local law enforcement. They're secretly hoping that this tribute can be saved and used at a later time...just in case.

Of course, if you have a need to escape the throngs of people in the city, the beans know just the place - the Brazilian rainforests! Yep, here it is for real - kinda cool, ain't it? This is "Campos de jardins", or "Fields of gardens", as seen from 12,000 feet up.

Now, just stop and think about what type of critters are roaming around down there... Anyone seen "Anaconda"?

While in town, the beans decided to check out the Jardim Zoológico, or the local zoo, which features over 2,500 animals and 130 species, including this ostrich who could obviously care less about the strange visitor locked inside a can. The zoo has been ranked within the top 10 in the world for size and maintenance. There are lions, monkeys, tigers, birds, and insects all placed in their natural environment, plus a tropical garden within the zoo.

Here, the beans hang out with some of the local flora, where if you listen carefully, you might hear one of those pods say "Alimente-me, Seymour... alimentam-me toda a noite por muito tempo". (That's Portuguese for "Feed me, Seymour...Feed me all night long...")

While in São Paulo, the beans dropped by the annual COMDEX convention, where they had the great privilege of hanging out with a couple of local beauties.

Now, I'm not saying that the beans can be easily influenced by hot Brazilian women, they did come home with a lifetime subscription to Hunter Curriculum, which is pretty amazing for a can of frijoles that can't even read English, much less Portuguese...

It's too bad that we don't know the girl's names, but we thank them nonetheless.

Of course, being an equal-opportunity vegetable (hey - the beans like everybody!), the beans also stopped to say hi to this studly Brazilian fellow, his bright smile, and of course his chest hair. The beans aren't sure who this handsome man is, but they were tempted to ask him to sing "La Vida Loca"...

So, the beans had a fabulous time in São Paulo, and thank everyone for their kindness and hospitality. And as we wrap up our visit to Brazil, the beans pause for a moment with this dapper bellhop, who obviously knows a good traveling companion when he sees one.

The beans are packed and ready to go - but where? That's part of the mystery, my friends.
