Bonjour, peak pals, and welcome to the valley of the Tarn, which is named after one of France's longest rivers. Located near the village of Millau, the local area is dotted with castles and chateaus, and has some pretty cool natural scenery too, as you can see. Here you can also participate in rock climbing, hiking, or just have a little wine and cheese party; we hear that the local Roquefort cheese is out of this world. (Hey - who wouldn't expect a genuine food product to know a thing or two about gastronomic delights?)

But the big fun around here is to drop down into the Gorges du Tarn themselves . The gorges range anywhere from 100 to 1,500 feet in width, and for about 50 miles you can follow by car, train, (or boat, if you are so equipped) along twisting, narrow roads and check out this incredibly colorful spectacle for yourselves.

Being the nature lovers that they are, the beans were naturally impressed by the beauty of the gorges, and were glad to have a chance to see them for themselves. Now, will someone give them a lift back up the hill? They'd hate to have to walk back up...
