Hello, music lovers and those who just like wearing powdered wigs (you know who you are...), and welcome to the fantastic city of Vienna, Austria! Vienna has a local population of just over two million, and welcomes several million visitors into the city each year. Vienna has had its share of famous residents over the years -- Freud, Schubert, Johann Strauss -- but none tops that Amadeus guy.

And by some strange coincidence, look who the beans and Ambassador Cory just happened to run into while wandering around town = none other than Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself! (Okay, it's a gilded actor portrayal of Mozart, but close counts...) Mozart has been well-respected by music aficionados for over 200 years, but it took an Academy award winning movie and a funky pop hit by Falco to really take his legend to a whole new level. The beans still have their 80's Falco tape, by the way -- they're not ashamed to admit it. (Okay, maybe they're a little embarrassed...)

Regardless, the beans thank Mozart for everything he did for music, and promise to keep their eyes open for any stray magic flutes.

While you're in Vienna, be sure to pop by the Stallburg, where the world famous Lipizzaner horses perform. If you've never seen the Lipizzaners do their thing, you really ought to check them out some day - it's more than just some ol' pony show.

But if you can't ride one of the original Lipizzaner stallions for yourself (and let's face it - they're probably not very good about loaning them out...), you can do like the beans did, and hop on the back of an equally impressive statue instead. Yee-haw, indeed. Here, the beans show off their equine skills to Lisa Gerstl, who gives the bean's bareback skills two thumbs up.

It's generally known that the Viennese are friendly, laid back people, who sincerely believe in the art of sophisticated relaxation. In fact, they even have a term for it - "gemutlichkeit", which literally translates as "coziness". Since the beans are tightly packed into a can with several thousand of their brethren, they fully understand and appreciate what it's like to be "cozy". It's a good thing they all get along and work together, ain't it? (Just like the Borg, if you think about it...)

Here the beans and Cory stop for a view of the local vineyards at sunset. The beans thought this was downright cool and all, but given their choice would actually prefer some of those infamous Vienna pastries about now. They're mighty tasty, and don't require a corkscrew.

Just like out of Cinderella, the high formality of attending balls is still prized here in Vienna. (Glass slipper, anyone?) Believe it or not, they actually have a ball "season" (November - February) here, where the men put on their fancy tuxedos and the women wear long gowns. The beans would love to attend a formal ball someday - does anyone know a tailor who can make them a tux? They need a 15 ounce - short.

And what better place to hold a ball than here in the beautifully maintained gardens of Schloss Schonbrunn? The Schonbrunn Palace has 1,441 rooms and halls, and was the former summer home of Hapsburg emperors and empresses. Summer home. Wow, and the lowly beans have to spend their summer inside the same can that they spend their winters in. Some guys have all the luck, huh?

Anyway, the beans had a great time in Vienna, and sincerely thank Cory, Lisa, and everyone for showing them a good time. Now, which way to the Vienna pastries???
